KLARITY

Stone Tapestry is my meditation.

I can bead anywhere, but my favorite places are in nature; sitting on the earth, high up in the mountains, next to a running creek, in the desert, in the shade of an earth home, or on the beach, listening to the rhythm of the waves crashing.

Some days, I sit in the Santa Barbara Botanical Gardens by the redwoods or the pond. That is a magical place. Being in nature connects me to the energy I like best; vibrant, colorful life. I know I am touched by the peace that connects us all and I feel it weaving the beads together.

I have planted myself in the park under a shady tree for hours. It is a nice way to meet people. I have a Native American Blanket, and my dog. I have a round board I painted to look like the top of the brick "Rumi" Dome. It sits on my lap where I place all my beads that I feel drawn to work with. It is a time I am completely open to guidance and my heart is soft and trusting. I can sit for hours.

Working so simply, I sense the timelessness of my Spirit and the indigenous people throughout the ages. I feel their presence. I imagine myself an indigenous artist for the new world that honors all people, and all life.

Before one bead is chosen, a quiet stillness breathes through me, allowing a new creation to unfold. It is relaxing and satisfying to my core. To me, it seems a gift from God. I do not feel personally responsible, only wonderfully surprised as I witness the beads coming together before my eyes, chosen by some Divine Source and woven with my willing hands.

It is an honor to create a custom piece for someone, as I feel their essence pour through me into what can only be their Stone Tapestry.

From those who wear their own custom Stone Tapestry, in their own words:

Kali:
"I find that the most common word for these pieces of art is "powerful." When I am approached because someone has noticed them, they are obviously in awe and inspired.

I personally feel the power of these bracelets when I am wearing them. I do not like to remove them and am not complete without them."

Cheryl ~ Pittsboro, North Carolina ~ 12/25/03:
"Yes, I fell in love with the bracelet. I wear the bracelet often and I almost always get comments on it. Everyone admires it, but no one more than me. It will definitely be a signature piece of jewelry for me. I love that it goes with so many things I own. It's a comforting piece to wear, also. I hope your holidays were wonderful. God speed love and success with all of your other endeavors. I hope our paths will cross again someday. Love, Cheryl"
