KLARITY sprouted in 1984 with a circle of friends around our dining table, weaving beads and string into Wish Bracelets. My friends, Sofia Coppola, Tracy Reiner & Moon Zappa, all childhood friends, began recreating a wish bracelet Tracy had brought back from Brazil. We three spent one long summer making wish bracelets and selling them to our family & friends.

By September, Tracy and I took our profits and moved to New York City. Wish bracelets took a backseat to our studies. I graduated from NYU after 4 years focusing on classic literature, writing and music, including singing rock & opera.

I returned to L.A. in 1991, found my wish bracelet collection, and gave one to each of the 8 children at my friends' Hanukah party. Suddenly wish bracelets were in high demand again.   Since 1984, all my wish bracelet wishes have come true.

Wish bracelets evolved from my imagination into Stone Tapestries in 1999.
